As a nationally certified trainer and exercise and fitness specialist, I complete more than 22 hours of continuing education every two years, in addition to the ongoing educational requirements to maintain my specialty certifications.  As my passion and purpose are all things related to fitness, I am always increasing my knowledge, improving my skill set and keeping abreast of the latest science and research.   My experience and education includes a variety of course work, research and certifications. You can find me in the gym, on the trail, or otherwise staying active on my off days.

Hi! My name is Jennifer Hess, owner of DayLite Empowerment Solutions, LLC, well-being strategist and movement specialist, founder and creator of the “Wellness Initiative Workshops”  and “Building Better Balance Bootcamp Series.” 

I am a nationally certified and award winning fitness and movement specialist, with more than 25 years of experience in health, wellness and fitness. It has been my calling to work with older adults, which I have done most of my adult life. I currently focus on senior health and wellness, encompassing physical, emotional and brain health as well as dementia mitigation and fall prevention through mindful movement. I teach many uniquely designed classes for aging populations, including strength and endurance, water fitness, functional fitness, core strength and flexibility, yoga, Pilates, meditation and tai-chi and qigong-type classes in addition to individual health, wellness and fitness coaching. I also develop wellness, nutrition and/or fitness programs using an integrative approach, in addition to many other related services.

In addition to teaching and training I am an Educator and Speaker, conducting seminars and workshops on a variety of topics from nutrition, dementia and diabetes prevention, neuropathy exercises, to balance and stability and fall prevention, breath work, exercise for special populations, you name it! I have conducted classes, seminars and workshops for large corporations, schools, nonprofit centers, medical centers, family health centers, national fitness chains, Senior Living communities and private clients as well.
